About Bayuk Advisory
My name is Anne-Aimée Bun and I founded Bayuk Advisory out of the conviction that information security should support organizational strategy, not the other way around. Too much energy, time, and resources are wasted on processes that primarily meet requirements but contribute little to managing real risks or strengthening the organization.
My experience as an ISMS-auditor and my training as IT-auditor (RE) have shown me that the value of ISO 27001 is under pressure. It's too often used as a checklist or a compliance standard. This creates a false sense of security: certifications are obtained even though the management system doesn't align with the organization. This needs to change to maintain trust in ISO 27001.
Because I also worked as a software-engineer , implemented ISO 27001 as a (C)ISO myself and have an Executive MBA I can easily switch between technical, audit and governance perspectives. This combination of internal experience and external assessment helps me develop insight, ownership, and trust in information security for organizations and their boards.
